This young lady was very hard headed and using utterly foul language when brought into the Police Station for questioning. The decision to behave as she was doing was certain to crush any chance she had of getting off with a small sentence.
She stood before the Senior Officer, ciggies in hand defending her behaviour and for me it was a struggle not to interrupt.
Her behaviour was such that it was sure to slash any chance of liberty that night and the defending Legal officer agreed.
Her Legal Officer decided it would be better for her to be sentenced to a night in the cell rather than try to extradite her that night.
Let's hope the morning brings a much calmer and more rational
young lady before the bench.
