No it's not this Dirty Dozen - it is a dozen words and a Friday write something using them

These are the twelve words:

My partner and I were called to what turned out to be a very messy crime scene.
We had received the news that everybody had been dreading.  As the Senior Detective it was his job to attend and mine to accompany him.

We were called out to a remote Island Hotel  which we had to access by boat,  On arrival we found the whole village was out to meet us  - nothing like this had ever taken place in this remote community before.   The Publican (recently transferred from mainland Scotland) was in a tailspin standing in the dining room of what would normally be a beautiful place to dine.

The counter was littered with broken bottles and there was blood in large pools on and near the rug, which was being chewed buy the Hotel dog and he had fibres between his teeth.
The dog growled and kept licking his lips as we searched for signs of life.  A whole family (parents and three children) had been missing for weeks and were finally located in the cellar of this rustic Hotel.  How long they had been there was more than I could guess - certainly this was not a new crime scene.
