WINTER SATURDAY AT THE BEACH

Brighton Jetty
It's been a lovely day for me and before I go off to bed I am prompted to write about it.

Shopping early and then time to wish a friend Happy Birthday and Congratulations on the impending arrival of twin baby granddaughters, meant that I lost track of time and thought it was an hour earlier than it was.   Big hurry to get to Flinders before the Pharmacy closed, but we did it.

The further south we traveled the wetter and wilder the weather became which meant we were only able to walk a little way at Brighton under the cover of shop verandas,  We had intended walking along the Jetty for a while.

We had fish and chips at a lovely little cafe/coffee shop and it was delighted.   Our table was in the window and we could watch the passing human parade (along with lots of dogs.)

More rain on the way to Rebecca and Nick's and we are very impressed with the renovations and they were spending the rest of the afternoon putting furniture back into place.

More rain on the way home - thinking this must be winter - but it was a lovely day.  Sitting in the cafe discussing politics/world events and just life in general was great.  This is clearly something we should do more often.

Quietly contented I am off to bed for an early night - Lady you have had a busy day.

Love and hugs,
Linda.
