A haiku is an un-rhymed 17 syllable poem of Japanese origin. It usually has a seasonal reference. The structure is:
line 1 - 5 syllables
line 2 - 7 syllables
line 3 - 5 syllables
"Wind blowing washing
Raindrops falling, ground so wet
Winter time is here."
When writing Haiku I often get confused and write five words/seven words/five words instead of syllables.
Love and hugs,
Linda.
